A Long Boring Talk

I’m trying
oh how I’m trying
to listen to an uninspiring speech.
Say something
tell me something
more than a barrage of words.
Don’t preach
we aren’t in a church.
Talk to me
please don’t shout
in your high pitched monotone.
Show feeling
in a variety of voice tones
share with me
give me your story
I want to see who you are
where you’ve been
what you’ve done
where you’re going
and
how I can follow.

Are you talking about the political candidates!!!!!!
They all sure seem to be screaming at us all for our attention
nope, this was not a politician. It was at a business convention but he was a very "religious" person. I don't need the religion he proclaims and it was out of place. I needed to hear how he succeeded in the business.
Oh, well......
