The well has been getting dry. I'm working on a couple of poems, but they aren't ready yet.
You may remember the "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" a few weeks ago. I saw the star again and came up with this poem.
Twinkling Star Visits Again
By Larrry Linville
I think I saw you again, O star
You are so far away
I saw you first in March
And now it’s almost May.
I know it had to be you
Out in that great beyond
Your brightness was in the same spot
As, again, I went to my john.
If it weren’t for those late night trips
I might have never seen you
And wondered – I just wondered
If you were looking at me, too.
Will I see you again, my friend
Or will you move away?
If this is my last time with you
A part of you will stay.
Are you like people in my day
Whom I see only once or twice.
And give the greatest gift to me --
Variety – the spice of life.
