Spring
By Larry Linville
drab dead fall colors
suppressing our joy
only briefly
covered with pure white snow
which soon becomes ugly
with perpetual dirtiness
lasting forever
finally
after an eternity
birds begin singing
rains begin falling
dandelions punctuate
the greening grass
Resurrection!
